So I'm grocery shopping the other day and saw vanilla wafers. I love vanilla wafers and so does Brent. Well, there were regular and then there was a box with the words "reduced fat". I thought to myself I'm trying to make some healthy choices in my life so I'll get both and see if I could live with reduced fat! Yesterday as I was putting the regular ones in baggies to make a serving snack size for the kids and Brent, I took out both of the boxes to take a look. And to my horror, reduced fat meant that the fat was taken down by .5 and the sugars were increased by 2g. That is just plain rude, if it says reduced fat then do it, make a difference and if you don't then just don't even both making an uninformed shopper like me buy something that tastes like cardboard for NO benefit! Shoppers beward!

oh the tricks the food companies play on us consumers, glad you learned your less. we have accidently bought reduced fat crap and it's disgusting, it's barely reduced and it taste like crap still. i stick to the good stuff, who cares if i get fat as long as it taste good, right?
Look at this way. When you have a serving of say, 30.(what's that, 30x4?) Not too many, (hahaha!) but a normal serving. (for a chub-o like me) Then you just saved 15 gms of fat. Just kidding! They'll tell you anything to make you buy something.
